Basic Controls

The Alfa Laval Kathabar Dry basic control system allows you to monitor and manage your conditions exiting the dehumidifier by displaying variables associated with both reactivation and process side of the system. Our standard set of variables that we offer to maintain below design thresh-hold required for the application is the reactivation air inlet and discharge air temperature. By varying the temperature leaving the wheel on the reactivation side of the dehumidifier (TS2), you will directly change the input to the reactivation heater.

TS1

Inlet Reactivation Temperature sensor Used to set the maximum temperature entering the reactivation section of the wheel by way of the single loop controller [1].
TS2 Reactivation discharge temperature sensor Measures the temperature of the air discharged from the reactivation section of the wheel. This sensor will control the thresh-hold of your design conditions via a single loop controller [2].
